Scoutgram helps volleyball players build a verified profile and share it with scouts, coaches and clubs. This policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, where it applies, the GDPR.

What we collect

Account details: your email address and a securely hashed password (we can never see your password).
Your profile: everything you add, such as name, date of birth, nationality, physical profile, positions, teams, stats, achievements, education, coach references, photos and videos.
ID verification: the ID document you upload. It is kept in private storage, seen only by our reviewers, and never shown publicly.
Messages: messages visitors send you through your profile, including the sender’s name and email.
Visit statistics: when someone opens your profile we record the day, where the visit came from (for example WhatsApp) and the visitor’s country. We don’t store visitors’ IP addresses; a visitor is counted with a code that changes every day and can’t be traced back to them.
Security records: the devices you are signed in on, and scrambled (hashed) network addresses used to stop abuse.

Who can see your information

Nobody, until you make your profile public. You control this on the Share page.
When public, anyone with your link sees the sections you chose to show. Your email address and phone number are never shown; visitors can only message you through us.
Coach reference contact details are only shown if you choose “with contact details”.
Our staff, to review IDs, moderate content and provide support.
Service providers who run parts of Scoutgram for us, under contract: hosting and file storage (Cloudflare), email delivery (Resend) and error monitoring (Sentry).

We never sell your data, and we don’t show advertising.

Why we use it

To run your account and show your profile and CV to the people you share them with.
To verify identities, so scouts can trust Scoutgram profiles.
To pass on messages and show you who has viewed your profile.
To keep Scoutgram safe and to fix problems.

Players under 18

Many volleyball players are under 18. If you are, please involve a parent or guardian when you create your profile and before you make it public or reply to anyone who contacts you. Never agree to meet someone alone. Report anything that worries you to trust@scoutgram.africa.

How long we keep it

Your profile: until you delete your account.
After you delete your account it disappears straight away, and everything is erased for good 30 days later (the delay lets us undo accidental deletions).
Visit statistics: about a year.
Unused uploads: removed after a day.

Your rights

You can see and correct your information at any time in the app, download a copy of it, and delete your account from Settings → Your data. You can also ask us to restrict or stop using your data, or complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
