how verification works
Every Scoutgram profile shows a verification level. Here is what each one means, so you know how much to trust what you are reading.
The levels
Level 1
Unverified
The player has an account and has started their profile. Nothing has been checked yet.
Level 2
ID verified
We have checked a government ID (national ID card, NIN slip, passport or birth certificate) against the name and date of birth on the profile. Once this is done the player can no longer change their name or date of birth themselves.
Level 3
Profile complete
ID checked, plus every essential section filled in: personal details, physical profile, positions, a photo and at least one team.
Level 4
Fully verified
All of the above, plus the skill clips we require for the player’s positions (for example serve receive clips for liberos). Scouts can judge the player’s actual technique, not just their numbers.
What we check, and what we don’t
- Identity. A reviewer compares the ID document with the profile. The document is stored privately, is only seen by our reviewers, and is never shown on the profile or CV.
- Measurements. Numbers are self-reported unless marked otherwise. “By coach” means a coach supplied them; “verified” means our staff checked them (for example at a combine or from a measured video).
- Teams, stats and achievements are provided by the player. Coach references are the best way to confirm them: players only list coaches who agreed to be contacted.
Checking a CV
Every Scoutgram PDF CV has a QR code and link to the live profile. Open it to see the current verification level and the latest information. If the details differ, trust the live profile.
